t <br />Wednesday, March 5, 1986 <br />The Board of.County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />March 5, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also <br />present were Michael J. Wright, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; OMB <br />Director Joseph Baird; L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, Intergovernmental <br />Relations Director; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend John Simon of First United Methodist Church gave <br />the invocation, and Vice Chairman Lyons led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the addition to today's Agenda <br />of a proclamation honoring Paul E. Thompson on his retirement <br />from Indian River County. <br />Commissioner Bowman requested the addition of a report on <br />the Tri -County Committee. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, Commissioner Wodtke being <br />temporarily delayed, the Board unanimously (4-1) <br />added the above items to today's Agenda. <br />L_MAR 5 BOOK E. p;.0 776 <br />
