Description and Conditions <br />Bids were received Tuesday, February 25, 1986 at 11:00 A.M. for IRC #282 - <br />Playground Equipment in Gifford Park <br />7 Bids were sent out. Of the 6 Bids received, 2 were "No Bids". <br />2. Alt-rnatives and Analysis <br />The low bid was submitted by C & W Unlimited, Jupiter, Fl. in the amount of <br />$5634.00. However, the bid does not meet the specifications for the following <br />reasons: <br />(1) Deck Material is 11 ga. perforated steel, specs.called for 14 ga. <br />galvanized steel. <br />(2) Spiral slide is plastic without a canopy, specs. called for the <br />spiral slide surface to be 20 ga. stainless steel. <br />(3) A wave slide was called for in the specs., both slides bid are <br />straight slides. <br />The second low bid was submitted by Ned Noland & Associates, Fern Park, Fl. <br />in the amount of $5972.99. The bid meets all specifications. <br />3. Recommendation and Funding <br />It is recommended that IRC #282 be awarded to Ned Noland and Associates in <br />the amount of $5972.99. <br />There is $6800.00 budgeted in account #102-210-572-66.39. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously awarded Bid #282 <br />for playground equipment in Gifford Park to the second <br />low bidder Ned Noland & Associates, in the amount of <br />$5,972.99, as being the lowest and best bid meeting <br />specifications, per the following bid tabulation: <br />23 <br />va 63 -F� r 856 <br />
