He noted that the <br />rules of the park are that animals have to be on a leash, and he <br />has requested his.neighbor to keep the cat on a leash. Regarding <br />the room, Mr. Goldman claims he built on for the cat, Mr. Kabanek <br />believed it actually was for a workshop, and as to Mr. Weyforth's <br />complaint about his wind chimes, he pointed out that the Goidmans <br />have chimes next to him, and he has not complained. He also <br />stated that the Goldmans and Mr. Weyforth, who are both his next <br />door neighbors, are very good friends and also heavy drinkers and <br />they party to 3:00 A.M. <br />Chairman Scurlock stressed that the Board's only concern is-. <br />the danger of issuing a permit if Mr. Kabanek has threatened <br />bodily harm to his neighbors; they are not concerned about the <br />cat, etc. He asked if Mr. Kabanek is claiming that he has never <br />threatened or pulled a pistol on anyone, and Mr. Kabanek stated <br />that he has not and the pistol was not even out of the holster. <br />The Chairman asked how long Mr. Kabanek has had a pistol <br />permit, and Mr. Kabanek stated two years. <br />Commissioner Bird noted that apparently Mr. Kabanek had a <br />permit at the time he carried his pistol, and he did not see that <br />Mr. Kabanek committed any crimes that would cause us to remove <br />the permit. <br />Commissioner Bird wished it confirmed that Mr. Kabanek is <br />aware of the laws re what he can do or not do with a weapon, and <br />Mr. Kabanek stated that he is thoroughly aware of them. <br />Commissioner Bowman pointed out to Mr. Kabanek that we have <br />an Animal Control Ordinance. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, to approve the issuance of a <br />renewal pistol permit to Julius Kabanek. <br />33 <br />MAS 112 1986 BOOK 63 E 8�� <br />
