Commissioner Bird agreed we should explore that option, but <br />felt our first move should be to deal with the present owners of <br />the town and those in elected position. <br />Commissioner Wodtke stated that he seconded the Motion with <br />the understanding that Attorney Vitunac first will contact <br />Darrell Fennell, the Attorney for the Town of Orchid. <br />Attorney Vitunac emphasized the critical time element and <br />asked if the Board wished him to proceed with a drafting Bill re <br />abolishing the Town of Orchid. <br />Commissioner Wodtke stated that he was not willing to say <br />the Town should be abolished before we have discussion with Town <br />members, and several Board members concurred. <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that he would put this on the <br />agenda for next week. <br />Commissioner Lyons and Commissioner Wodtke agreed to add <br />to the Motion that this matter is to be discussed with <br />Representative Patchett and with appropriate people of the Town <br />of Orchid. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION as reworded. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />REPORT ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL MEETING <br />Commissioner Wodtke informed the Board that the Council had <br />an excellent meeting with representatives of the Economic <br />Development Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce. <br />He informed the Board that in order to meet the March 31st <br />deadline for applying for technical assistance funds to aid in <br />implementing the Overall Economic Development Plan, it was <br />necessary to put together a tentative proposal, which was <br />submitted with the following cover letter: <br />65 <br />SPR 2 1996 Boa 64 PAUL 65 <br />I <br />
