BOOK 64 `' G;JU4 <br />Mr. Bail advised that he questioned the figure on masonry <br />received in the low estimate from Hanscomb Associates because <br />their quantities were quite a bit lower than the others. They <br />rechecked and found that they figured a number of partitions as <br />drywall rather than masonry and submitted a revised figure of <br />$1,823,680. Construction Cost Systems estimated $2,284,050, and <br />RSH Constructors quoted a guaranteed maximum of $2,477,573, and <br />since he could not account for those variations, Mr. Bail <br />recommended that the job be put out for public bids. <br />Chairman Scurlock reported that he went over the bid from <br />RSH Constructors item by item. He agreed the estimates were too <br />far apart and concurred with the recommendation to go to bid. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the Architect to go out for public bid on the con- <br />struction of the second phase of the new Jail. <br />TRI -PARTY AGREEMENT - HRS/SHERIFF/IRC - CHILD SUPPORT ACTIONS <br />Attorney Vitunac explained that this is a standard form <br />contract and it provides for reimbursement to the Sheriff of a <br />portion of the money he spends on service of child support <br />actions. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously approved <br />the Tri -Party Agreement with the Dept, of Health and <br />Rehabilitative Services/ the Sheriff's Department and <br />Indian River County and authorized the Chairman's <br />signature. <br />SAID CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE <br />32 <br />
