— - <br />:. .., -f.c____-----0 <br />t <br />1 <br />t, <br />PR O CLAMA TION %,2 <br />HONORING TIMOTHY WARD ON HIS RETTR.EMENT FROM <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY GENCY SER VICES/FIRE RESCUE <br />WHEREAS, Timothy Ward retired from Indian River County Fire Rescue effective <br />November 4, 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, Timothy Ward began his career with Indian River County on January 19, <br />1982, as a firefighter whose drive enabled him to quickly rise through the ranks; <br />achieving smoke-diver status in 1982; certified scuba diver in 1983; Driver/Engineer in <br />1987; Lieutenant in 1992 and by 2008, achieved Lieutenant/Emergency Medical ' <br />Technician status in which capacity he has worked with great merit until his <br />retirement. He received numerous letters of commendation and was honored for saving <br />lives on and off duty. In 1997, he was part of a dynamic team that supported the US <br />Navy in removing 227,580 pounds of dangerous debris from our shoreline and in 2001, <br />he was named Firefighter of the Year; and, <br />WHEREAS, Timothy Ward has served this County and the Public with distinction and <br />selflessness. During his thirty-three years of service, his commitment, dedication and <br />duty to his fellow man has been greatly appreciated by the employer, citizens and co- <br />workers alike; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board <br />applauds Timothy Ward's efforts on behalf of the County, and the Board wishes to <br />express their deepest gratitude for the dedicated service he has given to Indian River <br />County for the last thirty-three years; and <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the Board of County Commissioners and staff <br />extend their sincerest wishes for success in his future endeavors. <br />Adopted this 3rd day of November 2015. <br />, <br />I <br />:` <br />s% <br />a ' <br />►tel <br />,i _ ` --� <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA <br />' <br />QRrop, Wes ey S.
