Szpyrka, P.E., Assistant Public Works Directo <br />SUBJECT: Award of Bid No: 2016003 <br />CR512 Resurfacing from 125th Avenue to 1-95 <br />IRC Project No. 1304 <br />DATE: November 4, 2015 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The proposed improvements to CR512 consist of milling and resurfacing two (2) miles of the <br />existing roadway between 125th Avenue, Fellsmere and 1-95, widening the existing paved <br />shoulders to 5 feet wide and re-grading/sodding the outside shoulder. New pavement surface <br />shall be striped with thermoplastic pavement markings. This is a F.D.O.T. Small County <br />Outreach Program (SCOP) funded project, FM No. 433066-1-58-01. The SCOP Grant, approved <br />by the Board of County Commissioners on May 5, 2015 will provide 75% of the construction <br />cost of the project and construction engineering inspection (CEI) services up to $684,642.00. <br />The County will fund the remaining 25% construction cost. <br />The bid opening was held on October 14, 2015. Four (4) bids were received and opened. A <br />detailed bid tabulation is on file and available for viewing in the County Engineering Division. <br />Bid totals are as follows: <br />Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. <br />J.W. Ranger Construction Industries, Inc., has <br />completed various construction projects for the County and has consistently performed work in <br />a satisfactory manner.
