APR 1 1986 BOOK 6 Ft,c <br />Attorney Vitunac advised that Assistant County Attorney <br />Bruce Barkett has volunteered to go, unless the Board prefers to <br />send a Board member. <br />Some discussion ensued in regard to adopting a Resolution to'' <br />be presented, and Attorney Barkett recommended caution in that <br />regard as he did not believe we have been properly briefed on the <br />legal issues involved. He suggested it would be preferable just <br />to send someone to monitor the situation and then come back with <br />a report on what is contemplated and make a recommendation. <br />Commissioner Wodtke felt we should have some expression of <br />our concern re the joint several liability issue. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Lyons, the Board unanimously authorized <br />Attorney Barkett to travel to Tallahassee, April 21, <br />1986, to represent the County, monitor the discussion <br />of the liability issue, and express our concern. <br />JOINT CITY -COUNTY MEETING <br />Administrator Wright advised the Board that he and City <br />Manager John Little feel a joint meeting of the City Council and <br />County Commission to talk over some broad scope issues, such as <br />utilities, annexation, etc., would be beneficial. <br />Discussion followed as to a possible date, and the Board <br />asked the Administrator to try to set up such a meeting for 7:00 <br />P.M.
