District School board Organization Meeting Minutes 111/17/20151 Stang, Judy <br />1' <br />L <br />IV. OFFICIAL APPOINTMENTS BY THE CHAIRMAN <br />A. Indian River County Commission's Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), <br />Committee Member and Alternate — Voting Position <br />Duties included attending monthly meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at <br />10 a.m. in Room B1-501. Last year Mr. McCain served, with Mrs. Simchick as <br />Alternate. <br />Chairman Simchick announced that Mr. Frost would serve as Committee Member <br />and Mr. McCain would serve as Alternate. <br />B. Indian River County Commission's Economic Development Council (EDC), <br />Committee Member — Two -Year, Voting Position <br />Duties included attending monthly meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 3:30 <br />p.m. in Conference Room B1-501. Last year Mr. Frost served his first year, with Ms. <br />Jimenez as Alternate. <br />Chairman Simchick announced that Mr. Frost would serve his second year, with Ms. <br />Jimenez continuing as Alternate. <br />C. Indian River County School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) — Non -Voting <br />Position <br />Duty was to attend three to five meetings per year as called, generally at 12 noon at <br />United Way. Last year Mr. Searcy served. <br />Chairman Simchick announced that Mr. McCain would serve. <br />D. Indian River County Planning and Zoning Commission, Two -Year, Non -Voting <br />Position with an Alternate <br />The Commission met on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. in County <br />Commission Chambers. The appointments were for December 2015 and for <br />calendar year 2016. Last year Mr. Frost served, with Mrs. Simchick as the Alternate. <br />Chairman Simchick announced that Mr. Frost would continue to serve, with Mrs. <br />Simchick as Alternate. <br />E. City of Vero Beach Planning and Zoning Commission, Non -Voting Position <br />The Commission meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in <br />City Hall.
