County and local colleges created a program <br />that allowed families with college students re -locating to Seminole to <br />immediately qualify for in-state tuition. Another major criteria was nature <br />trails, natural land areas, etc. <br />Retention: <br />Suwanee - Incentives are greater for existing companies expanding than for <br />companies re -locating. <br />Seminole - Get in touch with your businesses, regular calls to your companies to <br />see how they are doing, "What can we do for you?" <br />Palm Beach - Retention is much larger proportion of budget than recruiting, <br />regular visits to existing companies, how's it going, what do you need, etc. <br />Show appreciation to employers doing business in your county. <br />Appreciation Tour — County Commissioners board a tour bus and make a <br />thank you trip through business/industrial centers. <br />FLORIDA CONSTITUTION REVISION COMMISSION; <br />See attached back up for details on the Constitutional Revision Commission (CRC) <br />process.
