Outcome #3: 90% of youth who have participated in one-to-one "COP" Mentoring for five <br /> months or more will improve socialization skills as indicated on the Program Outcome <br /> Evaluation. Baseline: Program Outcome Evaluation (POE) Pre-test upon entering the program. <br /> Goal Met—Thirteen children have been mentored for five or more months. Twelve out of <br /> thirteen have completed the Program Outcome Evaluation. Twelve out of the thirteen have <br /> improved socialization skills. (90%) <br /> Activities and events CSAC Children have been involved with/invited to attend. <br /> October 2014: All MCOP children were invited to attend the showing of Halloween in <br /> Wonderland held at the Riverside Children's Theatre between the dates of October 24-26, 2014. <br /> Children were also invited to participate in Bowl for Kid's Sake—Okeechobee on October 18, <br /> 2014. <br /> November 2014: MCOP children & families were invited to attend the BBBS of St. Lucie, <br /> Indian River& Okeechobee Counties 30th anniversary party on November 15th. DJJ Families <br /> requesting assistance from BBBS with their Thanksgiving meal were provided with frozen <br /> Turkeys along with sides for their holiday family meal. <br /> December 2014: CSAC sponsored children were invited to participate in"Meet a Horse <br /> Day" on 12/13 in which after some instruction in regards to care and approach, the children <br /> groomed horses and then had the opportunity to ride them in a controlled environment. MCOP <br /> Families in need of assistance from BBBS with Christmas gifts and/or food were provided with <br /> misc. gifts for their children and canned food stuffs. <br /> January 2015: Children, parents and mentors were invited to attend Ballot Vero Beach, <br /> free tickets were provided to interested children, children's families and mentors. Children were <br /> also invited to visit the Mckee Botanical Garden's Lego exhibit. <br /> February 2015: Children were invited to participate in "Aviation Day" at the Vero Beach <br /> Airport, "Fun at the Museum of Art, and the 19th Annual Eco Fest Extravaganza. All three <br /> events allowed the children the opportunity for up close and hands on learning in regards to <br /> aeronautical history, the environment and age appropriate art projects. There was a nominal fee <br /> for Aviation Day the other two opportunities were free. <br /> March 2015: Children were invited to attend performances at the Riverside Children's <br /> Theatre to watch the production of"Peter Pan" and to attend Ballet Vero Beach's performance of <br /> "Paquita" at the VBHS Performing Arts Center. All were invited to attend this agencies annual <br /> fund raiser, Taste of St. Lucie free of charge. <br /> April 2015: Children, parents and mentors were invited to attend performances at the <br /> Riverside Children's Theatre to watch the production of"Peter Pan" as well as attend Ballet <br /> Vero Beach's performance of"Paquita" at the VBHS Performing Arts Center. Several matches <br /> also reported to have visited the McKee Garden's Logo Exhibit throughout the month of April, <br /> - 10 - <br /> 128 <br />
