Public event to come <br /> and learn about the local lionfish problem and will encourage the public to eat <br /> lionfish, one of FWC's main mitigation measures for controlling the growing <br /> population of these fish. <br /> During the December 21, 2015 Beach Committee meeting, staff made a presentation <br /> about the negative biological and economic impacts of the growing lionfish population <br /> and provided an update on 2016 Sebastian Lionfish Fest.
