ORDINANCE NO. 86- 32 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 85-57 BY INCREASING THE LOCAL OPTION GAS <br />TAX FROM TWO CENTS TO SIX CENTS UPON EVERY GALLON OF <br />MOTOR FUEL AND SPECIAL FUEL SOLD IN INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA; EXTENDING THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE <br />TAX, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCORPORATION IN CODE <br />AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THROUGH <br />ITS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: <br />SECTION 1 <br />Section 3 of Indian River County Ordinance No. 85-57 is <br />hereby amended as follows: <br />There is hereby imposed a -two - six cent local option gas <br />tax upon every gallon of motor fuel and special fuel sold in <br />Indian River County and taxed under the provisions of Florida <br />Statutes Chapter 206. <br />SECTION -2 <br />Section 4 of Indian River County'Ordinance No. 85-57 is <br />hereby amended as -follows: <br />The tax imposition hereby made shall be effective from <br />September 1, 1986, to August 31, +99e- 1991, both <br />inclusive. <br />SECTION 3 <br />INCORPORATON IN CODE <br />This ordinance shall be incorporated into the Code of <br />Ordinances of Indian River County and the word "ordinance" may be <br />changed to "section," "article," or other appropriate word and <br />sections of this ordinance may be renumbered or relettered to <br />accomplish such purposes. <br />SECTION 4 <br />SEVERABILITY <br />If any Section, or if any sentence, paragraph, phrase, <br />or word of this ordinance is for any reason held to be <br />unconstitutional, inoperative, or void, such holding shall not <br />affect the remaining portions of this ordinance; and it shall be <br />construed to have been the legislative intent to pass the <br />ordinance without such unconstitutional, invalid or inoperative <br />part. <br />-1- <br />NOTE: Words in straek-threugh-type are deletions from <br />existing law; words underlined are additions. <br />MAY1 7 1986 BOOK 6 PAF3'47 <br />
