Wednesday, May 14, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />May 14, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. Scurlock, <br />Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; <br />Margaret <br />C. Bowman; <br />and William C. Wodtke, Jr. <br />Also present were <br />Michael <br />J. Wright, <br />County Administrator; Charles <br />P. Vitunac, <br />Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; L.S. "Tommy" <br />Thomas, Intergovernmental Relations Director; Joseph Baird, OMB <br />Director; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and Attorney <br />Vitunac led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Administrator Wright requested the addition to today's <br />Agenda of a discussion re the possibility of the south county <br />water plant affecting neighboring wells. <br />Attorney Vitunac requested the addition to today's Agenda of <br />a verbal offer to settle the courthouse roof case. <br />Commissioner Lyons requested the addition of a report on the <br />progress of the jail, plus the recommendation of the <br />Transportation Planning Committee to take right-of-way for the <br />northerly extension of Indian River Boulevard. <br />BOOK 64 PACE 401 <br />
