T. - sonn#ies can REFERENCES:. <br />Director <br />General Ser <br />In January of this year, the Board authorized the bidding of the <br />subject system with financing coming from the Court Improvement <br />Fund. <br />The possibility of using the local Cable TV Company for this purpose <br />was explored after the bids were returned for the micro -wave system. <br />After analyzing the Florida Cablevision proposal, it was decided that <br />the micro -wave system would be the most economical. I <br />Based on the above information, it is recommended that the low bid of <br />$31,975 from Communications International be accepted. <br />A budget amendment of $32,000 was made to fund this project. <br />Commissioner Wodtke raised the question of the cost involved <br />to put this system in the old jail and then in a few months move <br />it out to the new jail; and Director Dean advised that the cost <br />to move the equipment would only be in the neighborhood of $500. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />awarded the bid for video systems for the courts <br />to the low bidder Communications International <br />in the amount of $31,975. <br />M.
