Kea in "" AICP PLANNING AND ZONING <br />Planning & Development Director COMMISSION MEMBERSHIP <br />FRON&i�har d Shearer, REFERENCES: <br />Chief, Long -Range -Planning P&Z Membership <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal <br />consideration by the Board of County Commissioners at their <br />regular meeting of May 21, 1986. <br />DESCRIPTION & CONDITI66NS <br />On April 16, 1986, the Board of County Commissioners noted that <br />on a number of occasions the Planning and Zoning Commission has <br />had less than full attendance at its meetings. The Board <br />expressed.concern about this situation because in some situations <br />it required only two votes to approve or deny a development <br />request. The Board directed the planning staff to determine the <br />feasibility of increasing the number of members on the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission. <br />On May 8, 1986, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered <br />this item and stated that they had no objection to the commission <br />being enlarged. However, they felt that it might be appropriate <br />to have two at -large members who would serve as alternates in <br />case a regular member was absent. <br />20 <br />
