ON MOTION MADE by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />agreed to continue consideration of the ordinance <br />establishing paved road requirements to June 4th <br />at 10:00 o'clock A.M. <br />ARCHITECT'S PRESENTATION- HEALTH CLINIC BUILDING <br />General Services Director Dean introduced Architect Lemos <br />Ramos of Ramos & Associates, Miami, who is designing the new <br />County Health Clinic. <br />Mr. Ramos displayed a sketch of the site which will be in <br />the area of 27th Street and the Relief Canal between 18th and <br />20th Avenues. He explained that he has used 19th Avenue, which <br />ties to the existing Administration Building, for the main <br />entrance to the property and the project and there are three <br />other entrances. The main entrance to the Department of Health <br />fronts on 27th St. with a secondary entrance for the clinic for <br />maternity, pediatrics, nutrition, etc., and a service and staff <br />entrance. There also will be offices for the Veterans and <br />Welfare Services as well as Environmental Health Services. <br />Mr. Ramos then displayed the floor plan of the proposed two <br />story building, showing the waiting area and reception area on <br />the first floor with a control point where you can get informa- <br />tion. He noted that the second floor, which has the supporting <br />services, can be reached by elevator or stairs, and they have a <br />cashier on the control station and administratives areas with <br />future growth points; a waiting room with terrace; conference <br />rooms, auditorium, etc. He explained that on the first floor the <br />spine of the building is a working corridor for the various <br />clinic areas, as well as laboratory and X-ray, with the T-. B. a-nd <br />V.D. clinics separated from the others. The building will be <br />unpretentious but clean looking. Mr. Ramos advised that the <br />project has been designed in accordance with the minimum <br />standards of the state requirements for square footages, and in <br />61 <br />Bou 64 F�x�cE5.�8 <br />�Y 2 � �9 <br />
