Monterey Road <br /> Martin County, Florida Stuart, FL 34996 <br /> Board of County Commissioners 2300 Virginia Avenue <br /> St. Lucie County, Florida Fort Pierce, FL 34982 <br /> 4. Geographical Area to be Served by this Agreement <br /> The geographical areas which will be served by this Agreement are the entire geographical areas <br /> of each of the three (3) member counties, which geographical areas are legally described in Chapter 7, <br /> Florida Statutes, and for purposes of this Agreement, shall be known as the Treasure Coast. <br /> 5. Size of Population to be Served <br /> The population of the three county area to be served by this Agreement is 571,821 based upon <br /> the population projections for 2014 prepared by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, Bureau <br /> of Labor Market Statistics. <br /> 6. Agreement Not Prohibited by Law <br /> This Agreement is not prevented by State or local law from taking effect in the entire geographical <br /> area which it intends to serve. <br /> 7. Responsibilities of Treasure Coast Workforce Consortium <br /> The parties to this Agreement hereby authorize the Treasure Coast Workforce Consortium: <br /> (1) to appoint the members of the Workforce Development Board of the Treasure Coast, in <br /> accordance with Section 107 of Title I of the WI OA and Section 9 of this Agreement, which shall serve the <br /> functions described in Section 107 of Title I of the WI OA; and <br /> (2) to enter into an agreement or agreements with the Workforce Development Board of the <br /> Treasure Coast, herein named WIOA grant recipient and administrative entity for the development of the <br /> WI OA plan as described in Section 108 of Title I of the WI OA; and <br /> (3) to review and approve all WI OA plans prepared under Section 108 of Title I of the WI OA <br /> and jointly submit, along with the Workforce Development Board of the Treasure Coast, said plans to the <br /> Governor; and <br /> (4) to perform any other appropriate duties necessary for the accomplishment of and <br /> consistent with the purposes of this Agreement and the WI OA. <br /> 8. Quorum and Voting <br /> At all meetings of the Treasure Coast Workforce Consortium, the presence in person of a majority <br /> of the whole Treasure Coast Workforce Consortium shall be necessary and sufficient to constitute a <br /> Page 3 of 7 <br />
