BOOK 64 PIKSE 578 <br />next year for replacement of the transformers, which is <br />considerably less than going to the system of power supplies. <br />Commissioner Lyons was not satisfied with the analysis of <br />the problem and felt we should delve a little deeper into the <br />problem even if it means getting some electrical expertise to be <br />sure that the problem is really here in the building and that the <br />City of Vero Beach has an obligation to deliver power to this <br />building. He recommended pursuing these questions with the <br />understanding that the matter would come back on the Agenda as <br />soon as possible. He again stressed the high cost of computer <br />down time, not only in this building, but in the Courthouse <br />offices. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, that the Board authorize staff to <br />get some electrical consultant assistance in this <br />matter at a cost not to exceed $1000, funding to come <br />out of contingencies, and bring it back to the Board. <br />Commissioner Wodtke pointed out that there are times during <br />electrical storms when limbs fall across the power lines, and he <br />felt direct power supplies is the best way to go. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION.
