so we have some real facts to give the public. <br />BOOK 64 <br />He noted that he <br />still would like to try to find a way to have this bond issue, <br />for whatever the amount turns out to be, come on the heels of the <br />Beach Bond issue at about the same millage. He stressed that the <br />8.2 million is the outside figure. <br />Chairman Scurlock felt confident we can structure it so that <br />the final payment of the beach bonds will be made and this debt <br />service will come on line, but felt it probably will have to <br />extend over more than a five year period. <br />Commissioner Lyons stated that we are trying to catch up and <br />build for the future so he had no problem with some of the people <br />in the future paying for this. <br />Commissioner Wodtke asked if the only reason we are going <br />ahead with the Resolution now is to get the bond issue set up so <br />we can proceed if the public approves it, and Commissioner Lyons <br />confirmed this was one reason and also because the Library group <br />needs to know what we have in mind. <br />Chairman Scurlock further pointed out that the tax laws are <br />about to change and the bond advisors are telling us that <br />although they don't know what will happen in September, they <br />cannot see that it will be as good as what exists. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and approved unanimously. <br />24 <br />
