The Hutchinson Island Planning & Management Plan <br />The Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances <br />The proposed project is located in the City of Vero Beach on an <br />artificially created waterway; thus is not within the Indian <br />River Aquatic Preserve and is not subject to 16Q-20, Florida <br />Administrative Code. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners <br />authorize staff to forward the following continent regarding this <br />project to thu Florida Department of Environmental Regulation: <br />1) The Department of Environmental Regulation and other <br />appropriate agencies should consider the potential cumula- <br />tive impacts of dockage projects upon the Florida Manatee. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to forward comment re the above project to <br />the DER as recommended. <br />G. County Jail - Clarification Change Order #1 - Retainage <br />The Board reviewed memo of General Services Director Dean: <br />TO: The Honorable Members DATE: May 28, 1986 FILE: <br />of the Board of County <br />Commissioners <br />Thru: Michael Wright SUBJECT: <br />County Administrator Clarification Change Order <br />Number One - Retainage <br />H. T. "Son$y" Dean <br />FROM: DirectorREFERENCES: <br />General Servi es <br />The contractor has requested subject order and our architect has <br />recommended it. <br />The reason being that materials purchased by the County are subject <br />to the 10% retainage as stipulated in the contract. We are holding <br />100 of the contract price plus the 100 on materials which is "double <br />dipping" as interpreted by both our Architect and the Contractor. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously approved <br />Clarification Change Order #1 in regard to Retainage <br />(County Jail). <br />7 <br />JUN 41986 BOOK 6 4 F,:,L 596 <br />
