Question AAF officials regarding proposed AAF layout, operations, maintenance, <br />emergency response and highway -rail grade crossing plans. <br />D. In conjunction with reviewing the above -referenced documents and plans, review <br />relevant Federal safety standards and regulation regarding high-speed passenger railroad <br />operations; including highway -rail grade crossing requirement, quiet -zone requirements, <br />noise mitigation standards, Positive Train Control (PTC) requirements and emergency <br />preparedness requirements. <br />E. Perform on-site inspection of the existing thirty-two (32) at grade crossings in <br />conjunction with the review and evaluation of the AAF plans on the surrounding <br />community in IRC. The review and evaluation of the plans will include the evaluation of <br />many factors including but not limited to, crossing layout and design, crossing treatments <br />(i.e. type of warning devices), warning times, sight lines and obstructions and track <br />alignment and profile (i.e. curves and grades). <br />F. Prepare written comments associated with the review of the AAF plans and <br />documentation of the compiled information associated with the comprehensive review for <br />this task. <br />Task 2 [Optional] General Railroad Safety Consulting Services for IRC <br />IRC may wish to engage and follow-up with AAF and FEC to address safety and security <br />concerns that affect the IRC community. Furthermore, as the AAF project progresses, it is not <br />unusual for significant modifications to be made to project plans and proposals. TRC is prepared <br />to serve as an advisor to IRC on railroad safety, security and operational issues regarding issues <br />related to the AAF project and any other railroad related matters. More specifically, TRC <br />proposes to perform the following services on behalf of IRC: <br />A. Serve as a technical advisor to IRC in meetings and dealings with AAF, FEC, the Florida <br />Department of Transportation, the Federal Railroad Administration and other <br />stakeholders, at the direction of IRC; <br />B.
