Brown b <br />Director, Office of Manageent Budget <br />Date: February 9, 2016 <br />Subject: Miscellaneous Budget Amendment 013 <br />Description and Conditions <br />The attached budget amendment appropriates funding necessary for the following: <br />1. The Indian River County Recreation Department has received donations from the Vero Beach <br />Codgers as a contribution grant to support Recreation Department youth activities. The <br />attached budget entry appropriates these_ donated funds in the amount of $2,780. <br />2. On December 1, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners approved the CDBG grant in the <br />amount of $750,000. The attached entry appropriates a portion ($30,000) of the grant for the <br />East Gifford Drainage project. The remaining grant funds ($720,000) will be allocated to the <br />West Wabasso Sewer Project II. Matching funds of $196,473 will be funded from Optional <br />Sales Tax/Cash Forward -Oct 15c <br />3. LC Construction Florida has purchased a bus shelter from the current inventory to be <br />constructed at The Reserve on SR 60. The attached entry appropriates the payment of $6,509 <br />to reimburse the account General Fund/ Agencies/ Community Transportation <br />Coordinator/Other Machinery & Equipment for this payment. <br />4. Funds for the Sheriff's Office Locking Mechanism Project need to be "rolled over" into the <br />current Fiscal Year. The attached entry appropriates $201,642 from Optional Sales Tax/Cash <br />Forward -Oct 1 sc <br />5. The legal fees for the County Administration Buildings roofs are estimated to cost $225,000 for <br />FY 15116. The attached entry appropriates funding from General Fund/Reserve for <br />Contingency. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners approve the attached budget resolution <br />amending the fiscal year 2015/2016 budget. <br />Attachments <br />Budget Amendment 013 and Resolution <br />APPROVED AGENDA ITEM. <br />WIZ <br />Jose0h A.
