Wednesday, June 18, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />June 18, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also <br />present were L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, Acting County Administrator; <br />Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners; Joseph Baird, OMB Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, <br />Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Dan Weaver, Sebastian Baptist Church, gave the <br />invocation, and Commissioner Bird led the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS . <br />Chairman Scurlock advised that under the Comprehensive Plan <br />we are required to hold two evening meetings two weeks apart <br />during the month of July, and we need to set dates and time. <br />Some discussion ensued, and it was agreed to set the meetings to <br />consider Comprehensive Plan amendments for the evenings of July <br />15th and 29th at 5:01 P.M. <br />Chairman Scurlock informed the Board that he will discuss <br />two items under Committee Reports - a request from the City of <br />Sebastian for some assistance re the North County wastewater <br />system, and the Finance Advisory Committee report on application <br />for industrial revenue bonds. He believed Commissioner Bowman <br />also wishes to add under Committee reports discussion on <br />contacting the Governor and members of the Legislature in regard <br />to addressing certain issues during this year's special session. <br />Commissioner Bird stated that under his <br />items he <br />would <br />like <br />JUS <br />L- <br />18 <br />1986 <br />BOOK <br />64 <br />Fr1,UE 5 <br />
