Helene Caseltine, Economic Development Director, Indian River <br />Chamber of Commerce, and Enterprise Coordinator, supported <br />staffs recommendation. <br />David Schechtmann, Business Development Director for Parabel, <br />1437 Pineapple Avenue, Melbourne, provided background and <br />details regarding his company, and informed the Board that the <br />company would not be using the EB -5 Program, they would be <br />privately funded. <br />The Commissioners commended Mr. Schechtmann's company for <br />growing, harvesting and processing Lemna (duckweed) to produce a <br />viable food source for both human and animal consumption. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Flescher, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Zorc, the Board unanimously approved a Local Jobs <br />Grant Agreement of up to $177,000 for Parabel USA, Inc., and <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the Agreement after approval <br />by the appropriate County staff and the County Attorney's office. <br />B.
