No person shall be discriminated against in <br /> employment because of such individual's race, religion, color, sex, age, marital status, national <br /> origin, disability, genetics or any other status protected by federal, state or local law. <br /> COMMENT: <br /> 1 This policy applies to all terms, conditions, and privileges of employment including <br /> hiring, probation, training and development, promotion, transfer, compensation, benefits, <br /> educational assistance, layoff and recall, social and recreational programs, termination and <br /> retirement. <br /> 2. The County is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to an active Equal <br /> Employment Opportunity Program (EEOP).
