Wednesday, July 2, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1.840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />July 2, 1986,`at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. Scurlock, <br />Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; Margaret C. <br />Bowman; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Absent was Commissioner <br />Richard N. Bird, who was in Tallahassee on county business. Also <br />present were L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, Acting County Administrator; <br />Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County <br />Commissioners; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Don Swords of Twentieth Avenue Church of God gave <br />the invocation and Commissioner Lyons led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock explained that there is an additional <br />Consent Agenda today consisting of 9 items. Item #1 is a <br />proclamation which will be presented immediately after the first <br />Consent Agenda is approved, and since Item #9 will involve <br />considerable discussion, he requested that it be removed from the <br />additional Consent Agenda and added under the County <br />Administrator's items. <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the deletion of Item 6 E under <br />the original Consent Agenda. <br />BOOK F"GE 899 <br />JU�L 2 198E <br />
