The staff feels that the <br />proposed 400 acre node will fulfill the commercial and industrial <br />needs of this area throughout the twenty-year life of the <br />comprehensive plan based on the limited amount of existing <br />commercial and industrial development in this area. <br />18. <br />County -initiated request to amend the <br />Based upon the above description and conditions, including the <br />Transportation Element of the Comprehensive <br />Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation, staff recommends <br />Plan to include a recommended long-range <br />that the Board of County Commissioners amend the Transportation <br />major street and highway program for <br />Element of the Comprehensive Plan to include the recommended <br />Indian River County <br />Long -Range Major Street and Highway Improvement Program. <br />CO <br />Cn <br />
