Developing or updating resource inventory assets in accordance to NIMS-typed resource <br /> definitions which are managed by FEMA's National Integration Center(NIC) and can be <br /> found at: http.IAvww.fema.gov/resource-management <br /> - Designing State and local geospatial data systems <br /> - Developing and conducting public education and outreach campaigns, including <br /> promoting individual, family, and organizational emergency preparedness and support for <br /> the National Preparedness Campaign including America's PrepareAthon! and Ready <br /> campaigns, as required by the National Preparedness System; alerts and warnings <br /> education; promoting training, exercise, and volunteer opportunities; informing the public <br /> about emergency plans, evacuation routes, shelter locations; and evacuation plans as <br /> well as CBRNE prevention awareness <br /> - Designing programs to address targeting at-risk populations and engaging them in <br /> emergency management planning efforts <br /> - Developing and conducting public education and outreach campaigns, including <br /> promoting individual, family, and organizational emergency preparedness and support for <br /> the national Campaign to Build and Sustain Preparedness, including America's <br /> PrepareAthon!, as required by the National Preparedness System; the Ready Campaign; <br /> alerts and warnings education; promoting training, exercise, and volunteer opportunities; <br /> informing the public about emergency plans, evacuation routes, shelter locations; and <br /> evacuation plans as well as CBRNE prevention awareness activities, materials, services, <br /> tools and equipment to achieve planning, protection, mitigation, response and recovery <br /> that is inclusive of people with disabilities(physical, programmatic and communications <br /> access for people with physical, sensory, mental health, intellectual and cognitive <br /> disabilities) <br /> - Preparing materials for SPRs <br /> WHTI implementation activities including the issuance of WHTI-compliant Tribal <br /> identification cards <br /> • Conducting statewide emergency communications and preparedness planning, including <br /> the following activities: <br /> - Conducting/attending planning and governance workshops <br /> - Engaging and expanding the participation of the whole community in emergency <br /> communications planning, response, and risk identification <br /> - Participating in THIRA development process <br /> - Collecting and using data (e.g., NECP Goal Assessments, findings from national-level <br /> exercises) to assess user needs, capabilities, and gaps, and to facilitate coordination and <br /> asset-sharing <br /> - Assessing emergency communications needs and assets and integrating needs into <br /> State plans (e.g., SCIP, SPR, and broadband plans) <br /> - Coordinating with SWIC, SAA, and State-level planners to ensure proposed investments <br /> align to statewide plans(e.g., SCIP, State broadband plan) and comply with technical <br /> requirements <br /> • Developing related terrorism prevention activities: <br /> - Coordinating fusion center efforts with other analytical and investigative efforts including, <br /> but not limited to JTTFs, Field Intelligence Groups (FIGs), High Intensity Drug Trafficking <br /> Areas (HIDTAs), Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) Centers, criminal <br /> intelligence units, and real-time crime analysis centers. <br /> - Developing THIRAs that reflect a representative makeup and composition of the <br /> jurisdiction <br /> - Developing initiatives that directly support local efforts to understand, recognize, prepare <br /> for, prevent, mitigate, and respond to pre-operational activity and other crimes that are <br /> precursors or indicators of terrorist activity, in accordance with civil rights/civil liberties <br /> protections <br /> 22 <br />
