At that meeting, the Board <br />instructed the staff to explore the possibilities of enlarging <br />the node up to 1000 acres. <br />On March 13, 1986, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted <br />3 -to -2 to recommend that this node be enlarged,to 1,000 acres. <br />ALTERNATIVES & ANALYSIS <br />In analyzing this request, staff prepared four alternatives to <br />the existing 240 acre node. The first alternative would <br />encompass 400 acres, the second alternative would encompass 600 <br />acres, the third alternative would encompass 800 acres, and the <br />fourth alternative would encompass 1000 acres. <br />Existing Land Use Pattern <br />The current 240 acre node boundary includes the following <br />commercial and industrial uses: Wayfara Travel Center (Gulf <br />Service Station and Dairy Queen), a recreational vehicle park <br />16 <br />
