10 1 <br />Wednesday, August 6, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />August 6, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also <br />present were L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, Acting County Administrator; <br />Bruce Barkett, Assistant County Attorney; and Virginia <br />Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Russ Burns, Westminster Presbyterian Church gave <br />the invocation, and Acting Administrator Thomas led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Commissioner Bird requested that an item be added in regard <br />to the bid for the golf course maintenance building right after <br />the Consent Agenda. <br />Acting Administrator Thomas requested that a change order <br />for Sandridge Golf Club involving the arrangement for handling of <br />effluent be added and discussed at the same time as Commissioner <br />Bird's addition. <br />Chairman Scurlock wished to add an emergency bid for a <br />vehicle for the South County Fire District under the Fire <br />District's items. <br />Commissioner Lyons later in the meeting requested the addi- <br />tion of an item re central dispatch out of the Sheriff's <br />Department. <br />A <br />UG 6 1986 BOOK 65 FA U� 272 <br />
