"Sonny" Dea RFsERENCES: <br />• Director of Gener 1 Ser�i <br />Mr. John Hayden, Green Superintendent at Sandridge Golf <br />Course advises us that John's Island will sell us used lawn <br />mowing equipment which would cost about $130,000 to $150,000 <br />new for $22,000. <br />Mr. Hayden says the equipment is in excellent condition <br />and Commissioner Bird has checked out the equipment and feels <br />that it would suit our needs for quite a few years. <br />This purchase would give us two large fairway mowers <br />which in turn means%that we would have a back-up mower that <br />we did not intend to purchase at this time. We did not intend <br />to buy this much equipment but what we would have bought new <br />would have cost approximately $60,000. <br />It is the recommendation of staff that we negotiate with <br />John's Island to immediately purchase this equipment.
