CHANGE ORDER #4 - SR 60 SEWER (FINAL.PAYMENT COASTLINE UTILITIES) <br />The Board reviewed memo of the Assistant Utilities Director: <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DATE: JULY 29, 1986 <br />THRU: TERRANCE G. PINTO <br />FROM: JEFFREY K. BARTON <br />SUBJECT: CHANGE ORDER #4 (FINAL QUANTITIES) AND <br />FINAL PAYMENT - COASTLINE UTILITIES, INC. <br />Background and Conditions <br />Indian River County through its Utilities Division entered into a <br />contract with Coastline Utilities, Inc. for the construction of. the <br />Route 60 - Sewer Collection System. This contract has had three <br />change orders as the work proceeded. Change Order #4 is for final <br />quantities and an increase of $644.17 to the contract, bringing the <br />total contract to $1,275,070.88. <br />Recommendations <br />County Utilities Staff recommends the <br />of County Commissioners: <br />following actions to the Board <br />1) Approve Change Order #4 for the amount of $644.17 <br />only but not any extension in time. <br />2) Approve final payment to the Contractor in the <br />amount of $186,913.26. ($196,115.96 less engineering fees <br />questioned in the amount of $9,202.70 as outlined in <br />attachments). <br />3) Approve the holding of $9,202.70 until the <br />engineering question and the extension of the time under <br />change Order #4 are resolved. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />Change Order #4 for the amount of $644.17 only, but <br />not the extension of time; approved final payment of <br />$189,913.26; and approved the holding of $9,202.70 <br />until the engineering question and the extension of <br />time are resolved. <br />71 <br />a <br />BOOK P{.�'r: =�# <br />AUG 6 1956 J <br />
