SPECIAL CALL MEETING <br />Thursday, August 7, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Special Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Thursday, <br />August 7, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Absent was Margaret C. <br />Bowman, whom staff had been unable to notify in time. Also <br />present were Bruce Barkett, Assistant Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and explained that <br />the purpose of the special call meeting is to pass a resolution <br />that was inadvertently left off the Agenda for yesterday's <br />Regular Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners. <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING THE ISSUANCE OF INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDS FOR <br />FLORIDA CONVALESCENT CENTERS, INC. <br />Attorney Barkett advised that the proposed resolution <br />authorizes the issuance of $4.8 million industrial development <br />revenue bonds and authorizes the loan of the proceeds from such <br />bonds to Florida Convalescent Centers, Inc. in order to finance <br />the cost of the acquisition, construction and equipping of a <br />skilled and intermediate care nursing home facility. He stated <br />that everything else in the resolution was in good order, and <br />recommended that the Board approve the Chairman's signature. <br />BOOK <br />
