Baird REFERENCES: <br />OMB Director <br />Account Number <br />001-906-523-012.15 <br />001-199-581-099.91 <br />CYDI AMATTMI. <br />Account Name <br />Unemployment -Compensation <br />Reserve for Contingency <br />---.:Increase 'Decrease <br />$ 568 <br />$ 568 <br />Budget amendment is to allocate funds to pay for unemployment compensation <br />as per attached invoice. <br />Contingency Balance <br />As of 8/27/86 $69,152 <br />Commissioner Wodtke asked if there were any appeal <br />provisions in this unemployment compensation case, because it <br />- appears that we did not do a good job in documenting our <br />evidence, and Commissioner Bowman agreed that it looks to be very <br />badly handled. She understood that the man was fired and then <br />was told that he could appeal, which seems to be a reverse <br />procedure. <br />Assistant County Attorney Jim Wilson believed the only <br />appeal left to the County is through the District Court of <br />Appeals on the grounds that we believe the referee did not follow <br />the proper rules. <br />Commissioner Wodtke was concerned because it looks like the <br />County's testimony was hearsay. <br />8 <br />
