Tuesday, September 9, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />September 9, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice -Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also <br />present were L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, Acting County Administrator; <br />Charles P. Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County <br />Commissioners; Joseph Baird OMB Director; and Virginia <br />Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order, and County <br />Attorney Vitunac led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the addition of an item- re <br />selection of the architect for the design of Golden Sands Beach <br />Recreation Area under the Administrator's matters, and also under <br />the Administration's matters, the addition of an item authorizing <br />the OMB Director to do the necessary budget amendments to balance <br />for the 1985/86 fiscal year. <br />Commissioner Bird wished the addition of a discussion on the <br />Board's policy in regard to naming buildings. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously added the <br />above described items to today's agenda. <br />SE a �� BOOK F",G(_ 62- <br />
