Description and Conditions <br />Bids were received Thursday, August 28, 1986 at 11:00 A.M. for <br />IRC #313 -Typewriter Maintenance Contract for maintenance of all <br />typewriters under the Board of County Commissioners, Clerks <br />Office and Property Appraiser. <br />7 Bid Proposals were sent out, 5 Bids were received. <br />2. Alternatives and Analysis <br />The low bidder based on total cost, is Business Machine Service, <br />Okeechobee, F1. <br />Business Machine Service has the current bid. <br />As of Sept. 1, we had placed 60 calls for machines under the <br />Board. Based on approximately $50.00 per call for typewriters <br />and 575-100 per call for word processors, (if not under contract) <br />it is less expensive for us to have a maintenance contract. <br />3. Recommendation and Funding <br />It is recommended that IRC #313 be awarded to Business Machine <br />Service. <br />Funds are budgeted by each department under Maintenance of Office <br />Equipment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />awarded Bid #313 (Typewriter Maintenance Contract) <br />to the low bidder based on total cost, Business <br />Machine Service, as recommended by staff, per the <br />following bid tabulation: <br />SEP 30 1986 <br />35 <br />BOOK 65 r,�-UE 870 <br />s <br />
