Barr, c/o Lloyd & Associates, <br />1835 20th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, 32960. <br />Waterway & Location: The project is located in the Indian <br />River in John's Island Subdivision, Plat 40, adjacent to <br />Lot 1, Section 13, Township 32 South, Range 39 East, Indian <br />River County, Florida. The upland property associated with <br />the project is located in the Town of Indian River Shores. <br />- Work & Purpose: The applicant proposes to construct a <br />private single dock with a 195' x 6' main access pier and <br />26' x 41' terminal platform (total square footage: 2,236'). <br />No .sewage pump -out or fueling facilities are proposed. No <br />dredging or filling will be performed. <br />ALTERNATIVES & ANALYSIS: <br />-The Planning and Development Division reviews and submits <br />comments on dredge and fill applications to the permitting <br />agencies based upon the following: <br />- The Conservation & Coastal Zoning Management Element of the <br />Indian River Comprehensive Plan <br />- Coastal Zone Management, Interim Goals, Objectives & <br />Policies for the Treasure Coast Region <br />- The Hutchinson Island Planning & Management Plan <br />- The Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances <br />- Chapter 16Q-20, Florida Administrative Code <br />The project is located in the Town of Indian River Shores. <br />Therefore, the focus of staff review is on potential County and <br />regional impact rather than site-specific impact; an in-depth <br />field inspection of the project site was not conducted. <br />The project is not to be located within County jurisdiction and <br />is not subject to County requirements. Also, the project is <br />proposed to be located on privately owned bottomlands and is not <br />subject to requirements of Chapter 16Q-20 of the Florida <br />Administrative Code, relating to docks located in the <br />Indian River Aquatic Preserve. <br />8 <br />
