T, "Sonny" Dean <br />Director <br />FROM: General Services REFERENCES: <br />The Judges require they be furnished with all available background <br />information on prisoners appearing before them at pre-trial hearings. <br />This includes a National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and Florida <br />Crime Information Center (FCIC) computer check. This is presently <br />being done through the Sheriff's communications center which is <br />located in the Old County Jail. <br />The staff has inquired through the State for the Jail to install a <br />NCIC/FCIC computer terminal in the new complex. This will enable <br />the required information to be compiled and facilitate the system. <br />Primarily because physically transporting the information in a timely <br />manner will be almost impossible. <br />24 <br />
