The Board reviewed the following memo dated 10/1/86: <br />TO: THE HONORABLE MEMBERS OF DATE: October 1, 1986 FILE: <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THROUGH: <br />Charles P. Balczun <br />County Admini trator Public Hearing to consider <br />SUBJECT: resolution providing for the <br />Ralph N. Brescia, P.E. paving of: <br />County Engineer 1) North half of Ercildoune.. <br />Heights Subdivision <br />2) South half of Ercildoune <br />(moiHeights Subdivision <br />FROM: <br />Michelle A. Terry <br />Civil Engineer REFERENCES: <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Petitions have been received from property owners for portions of the <br />following streets: <br />1) North half of Ercildoune Heights. Portions of 143rd Street, 144th <br />Street, 78th, 80th and 81st Avenue. <br />2) South half of Ercildoune Heights. Portions of 143rd Street, 140th; <br />141st and 142nd Streets, 142nd Way, 78th, 80th and 81st Avenues. <br />Preliminary assessment rolls have been prepared for the paving and <br />drainage improvements. The total cost of these projects is <br />approximately $184,713.20. There is approximately $87,397.00 in the <br />PY85-86 budget for Petiton Paving, Account No. 703-214-541-035.39. As <br />money from other roads is replenished to the Petition Paving Account, <br />these roads will be paved. <br />Also, -advertisement of the public hearing and notification to the <br />property owners has been performed. <br />•RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING - <br />After consideration of the public input provided at the public <br />hearing,it is recommended that motions be made to: <br />1) Adopt resolutions, providing for the paving and drainage <br />improvements for each petition paving project, subject to the terms <br />outlined in the Resolutions. The applicable interest rate shall be <br />1% over the Prime Rate at the time the final assessment roll is <br />approved. <br />2) Approve preliminary assessment rolls including any changes made as <br />a result of the public hearing. <br />3) Allocate $184,713.20 from the Petition Paving Account to fund this <br />work. <br />4) The Road and Bridge Department be notified to schedule construction <br />probably in December 1986 or January 1987. <br />35 <br />BOOK 66 racE 35 <br />
