OCT 14 1996 <br />BOOK 72 - <br />Commissioner Lyons explained that if the waiver provision is <br />approved, they would be able to request a hearing before the <br />Board of_County Commissioners. _ <br />Michael Wodtke strongly opposed the filling of wetlands on <br />both the Grand Harbor and Shorelands projects. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0), <br />Commissioner Wodtke having left the meeting earlier, <br />closed the Public Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0, <br />adopted Ordinance 86-68, amending Section 212-7(b)(1), <br />of the Stormwater Management and Flood Protection <br />Permit (Type B) providing authorization for the Board <br />of County Commissioners to waive the cut -and -fill <br />requirements for a Type B Stormwater Management Permit <br />upon a showing that the development is situated in an <br />estuarine environment and that the project as designed <br />will provide increased flood protection to the <br />development site and will not create a material adverse <br />impact on other lands in the estuarine environment. <br />72 <br />
