MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, that the Board authorize staff <br />to file a road right-of-way reservation map showing <br />where we plan to widen Storm Grove Road (57th Street) <br />east of Kings Highway and U.S. #1. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Bird wondered if we would <br />ever put <br />a road through <br />there, <br />and Director <br />Davis advised <br />that <br />there are <br />mechanisms in <br />place <br />to allow the <br />construction of <br />Storm <br />Grove Road. There is a canal crossing that needs to be bridged, <br />but we do show that in our Thoroughfare Plan. In addition, the <br />Hawk's Nest Golf Course has agreed in the future to relocate the <br />railroad crossing just north of Storm Grove Road that serves that <br />golf club down to Storm Grove Road. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. The Motion <br />was voted on and carried unanimously (4-0). <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />approved staff recommendation not to buy the right- <br />of-way at this time and authorized staff to negotiate <br />a long-term (5-7 years) contract to buy the land and <br />bring it back to the Board for approval. <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION - 12th STREET PARCELS #168 AND #132 <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 10/7/86: <br />77 <br />BOOK 66 77 <br />
