INT 21 W6 BOOK <br />Commissioner Lyons understood that the proposed resolution <br />is for the purpose of telling the State that these Comp Plan <br />amendments are under consideration by Indian River County, and <br />Richard Shearer, Chief of Long -Range Planning, explained that the <br />Board is required to hold a Public Hearing on each land use <br />amendment before transmitting it to the State for their review <br />and to hold a final Public Hearing before adopting the <br />amendments. <br />The Chairman opened the Public Hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. <br />Nancy Offutt, representing the Board of Realtors and the <br />Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce, felt this would be the <br />appropriate time to state that the two boards still oppose State <br />intervention in these matters. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously closed <br />the Public Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 86-92, authorizing the transmittal of <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment applications, staff <br />recommendations, and the recommendations of the Local <br />Planning Agency to the Department of Community Affairs <br />of the State of Florida for a mandatory ninety -day <br />review period. <br />22 <br />
