Tuesday, November 4, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />November 4, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also <br />present were Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; L. S. <br />"Tommy" Thomas, Intergovernmental Relations Director; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; and <br />Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Dr. G. Julius Rice, Pastor, Community Church, gave the <br />invocation, and Administrator Balczun led the Pledge of Allegi- <br />ance to the Flag. <br />AUDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock advised that Commissioner Wodtke has <br />requested the addition of nominations to the County Library <br />Advisory Board, and Finance Director Fry has requested the <br />addition of approval of the Vouchers for Payment of Annual <br />Contributions to the Housing Assistance Program. <br />Commissioner Bowman asked that consideration of including <br />Tropical Avenue in the road maintenance schedule be added under <br />Road 8 Bridge matters. <br />Commissioner Lyons requested that a federal grant applica- <br />tion for Florida Community Health Center be added under his <br />matters. <br />Attorney Vitunac later requested the addition of a report <br />on negotiations with the Attorney who represented Jim Chandler. <br />OV 41986 BOOK 66 Fa C- 2rS3 <br />
