Public -Defender's Office Telephone Equipment <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11/19/86: <br />TO:, The Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: November 19, 1986 <br />SUBJECT: is Defender's Office Telephone Equipment <br />FROM: s P. Wilson <br />ant County Attorney <br />Elton H. Schwarz, Public Defender for the Nineteenth <br />Judicial Circuit, has requested that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of each County within his Circuit authorize <br />the purchase of certain telephone equipment which his office <br />now leases from AT&T Information Services. A review of this <br />matter indicates that the purchase of this equipment can be <br />funded totally with money already appropriated for leasing <br />this equipment in the current budget. <br />The total cost to Indian River County of buying_ out the <br />phone system presently -being leased totals $2,595.35. Upon <br />authorization by the Board, Mr. Schwarz will be able to <br />execute the purchase order and Ed Fry is prepared to accept <br />that and issue the check. It is my recommendation that the <br />County authorize this purchase. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the purchase of certain telephone equipment for the <br />Public Defender's Office, as recommended by.Assistant <br />County Attorney Jim Wilson. <br />16 <br />
