Tuesday, December 2, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., <br />Chairman, Margaret C. Bowman, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; <br />Carolyn K. Eggert; and Gary C. Wheeler. Also present were <br />Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, <br />Intergovernmental Relations Director; Charles P. Vitunac, <br />Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; Joseph Baird, OMB <br />Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend John Few, Christ United Methodist by the Sea, gave <br />the invocation, and Chairman Scurlock led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />The Chairman asked that an item be added to the Consent <br />Agenda re out -of -county travel for Commissioners to --attend a SACC <br />meeting on December 10th -in Deland. He also requested that an <br />item be added under his matters in regard to a proposal to <br />transfer Indian River County from the Treasure Coast Regional <br />Planning Council into the same Council as Orlando; we only have <br />60 days to comment on this. <br />Administrator Balczun asked that Item 6G in regard to Rural <br />Sanitation be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed under <br />his matters. <br />Attorney Vitunac requested that Item 8A, a public hearing <br />regarding availability of polling places, be removed from today's <br />agenda and postponed to a a time certain at next week's meeting <br />(10:00 A.M.) so that the Supervisor of Elections can be present. <br />C BOOK fin! p4„'� <br />
