Tuesday, December 9, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, <br />December 9, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Margaret C. Bowman, Vice Chairman; <br />Richard N. Bird; Carolyn K. Eggert; and Gary C. Wheeler. Also <br />present were Charles P. Balczun, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; L. S. <br />"Tommy" Thomas, Intergovernmental Relations Director; Joseph <br />Baird, OMB Director; and Barbara Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called -the meeting to order, and Commissioner <br />Eggert led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the addition of a retroactive <br />approval of an admission to Holley State Hospital as Item N under <br />the Consent Agenda. He recommended that in the future the <br />Chairman be given a blanket authorization to sign these admission <br />petitions when necessary. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously added <br />the above item to today's Consent Agenda. <br />BOOK <br />E <br />C 9 196 <br />
