The committee's recommendation, along with a very <br />positive feasibility study conducted by the National Golf <br />Foundation, indicated that it was feasible for the County to <br />proceed to design and construct 18 holes of what was to be <br />eventually a 27 -hole championship golf course to be located at <br />Kiwanis-Hobart Park. <br />Some $2.4 million was allocated for the project through the sale <br />of Revenue Bonds and a contribution from the Indian River County <br />Utilities Department. From funds raised, the County is currently <br />constructing! an 18 -hole championship golf course, which was <br />24 <br />
