She <br />stated that she is bringing this matter to the Board's attention <br />because with the rapid growth in registered voters, the problem <br />just will continue to grow. Supervisor Robinson felt that the <br />developers of larger residential areas would like to provide a <br />polling place that is convenient to the residents, and believed <br />that the time to consider where people will vote is when a <br />developer of a large residential project comes in for site plan <br />approval. <br />Commissioner Wheeler asked if the proposed ordinance would <br />affect residential projects with less than 200 units, and Planner <br />Richard Shearer stated that the actual number was not specified <br />in the ordinance; however, any number would be arbitrary. <br />Generally, whenever you have 500 units or more there are some <br />general facilities available.
