Finney, SRA REFERENCES: <br />Right of Way Agent', ^1 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The project involves the acquisition of 27 right of way parcels on <br />the north side of North Gifford Road for pavement widening, concrete <br />sidewalk and drainage improvements. <br />Status to date: Four (4) parcels have been donated and closed, <br />seven (7) parcels are being negotiated and will probably donate, three <br />(3) parcels absolutely will not donate or sell r/w and the remaining <br />thirteen (13) parcels the property owners will sell to the county at <br />the FAIR MARKET VALUE. <br />RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING <br />Staff requests obtaining a certified appraisal of the 16 parcels <br />to determine the FAIR MARKET VALUE of each parcel and total R/W <br />acquisition costs to bring back before the board if the board desires <br />to proceed with the project and as the first requirement for <br />condemnation, the 3 properties that will not sell r/w to the County. <br />It is estimated that the appraisal fee will be $12,000 to $16,000 <br />depending on"the complexity of the parcels and time, with a fee not to <br />exceed $16,000. <br />Funding would be from the North Gifford Road Project Fund <br />#104-214-541 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to obtain a certified appraisal of 16 parcels <br />to determine the Fair Market Value of each and total <br />R/W acquisition costs; appraisal and costs to be <br />brought back to the Board for authorization to proceed. <br />Funding to come from the North Gifford Road Project <br />Fund #104-214-541. <br />4 <br />
